Parent Information

Communications

The two years your child spends at PSHS go by quickly and it is a busy, busy time for the students and the parents.  How do you know what is happening and about upcoming deadlines?

Visiting Campus

Parking:  There are visitor parking spaces in front of Building B along Independence.  Make sure to only park in parking spots labeled "VISITORS."

All visitors to Plano must sign in at the front office and wear visitor ID while on campus. Be prepared to show your state issued id.

It is recommended to schedule an appointment if you need to visit with a teacher, counselor or principal. To schedule an appointment with a teacher, email contact is best.

DO YOU NEED A VOE? REQUIRED FOR DRIVER’S LICENSE

PISD now has an online VOE form. Please use this link to request a VOE for your student.

https://myforms.pisd.edu/Forms/VOE

In the State of Texas it is a privilege to drive if you are under the age of 18. The privilege comes with attending school. These forms are valid for 30 days from the day issued, Forms issued in May are valid for the summer.  Students who do not do this before the end of school can get one at the Summer School office.

Medicine & Prescriptions

Students are not allowed to carry any kind of medicine (prescription or over-the-counter) with them while on school property.  Under state law, possession of any kind of medicine can have serious consequences.  All medications must be in their original container, stored with, and dispensed by the school nurse.  Parents must also turn in a completed Medication Request Form for each medicine. Forms are available at: http://www.pisd.edu/parents/health/documents/MedicationRequest10_11.pdf
