PLANO THEATRE PRESENTS: BEAUTY AND THE BEAST - DECEMBER 8, 9 & 11 AT 7PM, AND DECEMBER 10 AT 2PM |
CONGRATULATIONS PSHS JROTC!!! |
| WAY TO GO PSHS JROTC DRONE (ADVANCED VERTICAL ROBOTICS) TEAM!!! "Plano Senior JROTC has embraced the integration of STEM and the cadets have taken off running. On Saturday, November 18th, the Plano Senior JROTC Drone (Advanced Vertical Robotics) Team competed in their first competition of SY 23/24 at the University of Texas Arlington. Despite facing the challenge of traveling without a complete drone package, the Wildcats displayed remarkable resilience and composure. Their performance not only exuded class but also earned them a well-deserved trophy. Guided by the leadership of team Captains Cadets Auriha Anis, John Ray, the Wildcats brought home the award for Exemplary Team. This achievement is a testament to their true dedication to focus. It goes to show what can be accomplished when a team works together, stays dedicated and maximizes the potential of what they have. Congratulations to the Plano Senior JROTC Wildcats for their outstanding performance and for representing Plano ISD with class! The cadets at Plano Senior are shifting their focus to VEX Robotics, armed with two complete robotics kits. This will require them to channel their ingenuity and engineering skills to craft robots from the ground up. The challenge ahead involves not only competing with fellow JROTC teams but also facing off against high school teams from across the country. It’s a fantastic opportunity for our cadets to showcase their creativity and technical prowess. I want to thank you as you continue to support the growth and evolution of the JROTC program, especially as it takes bold steps into the STEM world. The commitment of the cadets is inspiring and your support on their journey means the world to them. Together we are fostering a generation of leaders and innovators! Thank you for your continued support of the JROTC program." Plano Senior Instructor, Major McGruder |

PARKING AT PLANO SENIOR HS |
| PARKING PERMITS:Parking permits are required at Plano Senior High School and they can be purchased on parent portal here: https://parentportal.pisd.edu/Login.aspx PSHS will started enforcing parking permits on September 5th. In order to park on campus, students must purchase a PSHS parking permit. Students who did not purchase a reserved, painted spot must be parked in the east lot by Westside Drive. Students who purchased a reserved, painted spot must be in their spot with the appropriate sticker. Please triple check to make sure you are parking in your assigned/correct spot and lot. Students who have purchased a parking permit can pick it up in the Student Center. In order to receive the permit, Students must provide: proof of insurance driver's license license plate number - If you purchased a reserved, painted spot through the PTSA, please bring your receipt as proof of that purchase as well.
PARKING STICKERS:Where do I get my parking sticker? Student Parking Registration Stickers (that have been purchased through Parent Portal ) can be picked up in the Student Center from 8:30 am - 4:45 pm on school days. Parking Registration Stickers can still be purchased through parent portal. Students must have proof of a valid driver’s license and current insurance to register their vehicle. Then what? Student parking is currently being monitored during school hours. All students are given a copy of the Plano Senior High School Parking Expectations when they picked up their registration tag. They outline the following expectations: Parking decal must be affixed in the upper left corner of the windshield to the registered vehicle. The decal must be visible while parked on the Plano Senior High School campus. Student parking is located in the East lot (east of the campus/pond) or the South lot (if a painted spot has been purchased through PTSA). Towing will be enforced if students park in any unauthorized parking lots. Students who purchased a painted spot will receive a white decal to identify they are permitted to park in the South lot (by Building A). - No parking in bus-loading zones, on sidewalks, fire lanes, handicap spaces, visitor spaces, numbered spots or in the Plano Aquatic Center parking lot.
No parking without a parking decal. If you change vehicles, come to the Student Center to discuss a replacement decal and/or temporary tag for your dashboard.
What if I don’t have a tag or park in the wrong lot? The following procedures will be followed for students who are not parking in compliance with the campus parking expectations. First offense - Warning Sticker placed on vehicle - Second offense - Warning Sticker placed on vehicle
Third offense - Towed at owner expense (subsequent infractions will result in towing at the owner’s expense)
***Students who currently have a Plano Senior High School Parking Sticker but are parked in the wrong parking lot will be called down to the Student Center. Repeat offenses of this can result in towing. What if I need a temporary tag? Students who need a temporary parking tag, driving an alternative vehicle, or need a one day parking tag can visit the Student Center to receive a temporary parking permit for the dashboard of their vehicle.
