ADVOCACY!

Help your PTSA to advocate for our students and teachers.

In a letter to Governor Abbott, Texas PTA is urging that the state request a waiver for STAAR testing from the U.S. Department of Education. Assessing all students on the skills many were unable to learn is unfair and harmful. (Posted on Texas PTA Facebook).

Advocacy actions like that are possible when you join and support your PSHS PTSA.

PTSA Scholarships

For the school year 2019 - 2020, the PTSA set as one of its goal SCHOLARSHIPS to support our Senior students.

20 scholarships for $500 each ($10,000) were awarded to SENIOR STUDENTS that were members of the PSHS PTSA both their Junior and Senior year. Names were drawn during Membership Meetings.

Due to the unusual circumstances our traditional Senior Programs couldn't be executed. Therefore the PTSA awarded 20 scholarships of $250 each ($5,000) for SENIOR STUDENTSNames were drawn out of a list of Senior Students regardless if they were or were not members of PSHS PTSA.

Make sure your student is a member this year!
